LIBRARY PROGRAMS

Our Books Are On The Top Of The Borrowing List!

Librarians tell us that kids love to read these books written and/or illustrated by other children/teens. Ask your Librarian if they have Kids for Kids books.

BACKGROUND
Over the last four years, Ontario students from ages 6 to 16 have been signed on by Kids for Kids BooksTM as KfK Authors and 13 books have been published to date. Authors/illustrators become peer-role models. Out of the thousands of students involved in the Kids for Kids BooksTM school and library programs, referred students are invited to write over the summer and submit full length manuscripts. Each year, after review by TRIMATRIX - Kids for Kids BooksTM Editorial Board, one or two very special stories are chosen for individual book publication.

The books are professionally designed, perfect bound paperbacks - a beautiful addition to your library collection. You can check out our wonderfully, engaging books by our inspiring young KfK authors and meet the authors through their online profiles via our Order Books page.

Parents often tell us they are struggling to engage their children in reading. They have tried recommended titles, bookstore favourites, etc. - still no interest. Well, we've discovered...

  • Kids know what kids like to read - they know what type of story their peers are interested in and readability assessments show kids write for their age level

  • Kids have great ideas about how to interest others in their stories - comic strips, cool pictures, treasure maps, dragon eye pendants, inventive bookmarks

Please visit our Order Books page for a description of books presently available and then Download the Order Form to place your order. Be sure to include your discount as outlined above! Orders may be faxed toll-free to 1-866-669-6821 and an invoice will be shipped to you with the books.

As well - if your library is interested in hosting a writing competition or publishing writers from a book club, we would be happy to provide more information on authoring projects, please contact us directly at info@trimatrixconsulting.ca

Over the last few years we have partnered with libraries to hold competitions, publish winning titles and celebrate all the young authors' efforts.

As part of our school authoring programs, we encourage students to enter local writing competitions.

We are interested in supporting your public and school library efforts!

Publishing Your Library's Competition Winners

From a few winning entries to several; a celebration of all writers and much more…call or email us to see how we might be able to help you!!

Our first authoring competition with the Oakville Public Library discovered the talented Amanda Connolly, author of The Medallion - a wonderful historical fiction novel. We also uncovered the talented group of high school students who authored the wonderfully written and heartfelt collection of short stories and poems in Infinite Memories. All of the authors who entered received a gift package along with feedback on their submissions.

Since then, we have worked with the Burlington Public Library and Hamilton Public Library to publish the winning titles of their annual writing competitions.

BACKGROUND
Thousands (and counting) of Elementary School students are published authors!

Out of these thousands of students involved in the Kids for Kids BooksTM school and library programs, referred students are invited to write over the summer and submit full length manuscripts. Each year, after review by TRIMATRIX- Kids for Kids BooksTM Editorial Board, one to three of these manuscripts are chosen for individual publication.

The books are part of Canada’s Collection at the Library and Archives Canada. The work of these young authors is part of Canada’s Heritage.

Over the last three years, students from ages six to 16 have been signed on by Kids for Kids BooksTM as KfK authors and over 13 books have been published so far. Authors/illustrators get to see the whole process from editorial comments and book formatting to proofing and production. They visit schools to share their experiences. And each year an author celebration is planned, so these wonderful peer role models can share their stories, and meet and inspire other students to write and read.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept unsolicited manuscripts. All of our individually published KfK Authors are referred through and/or discovered through our school and library programs.
